Award-winning designer and blogger, Carolyn Sewell, will be exhibiting her yearlong project, Postcards To My Parents.

Every day from July 23, 2009 to July 23, 2010 Sewell sent hand-drawn postcards (4.25”x 6”) to her parents with messages of love and adoration, snarky quotes from friends, family and television, and the occasional drawing of a gnome.

Big name Boston ad shop Hill Holliday's hitting the road for its 2010 Fall Recruitment Tour. And wouldn't you know: they'll be making a stop 'round these parts - Howard University, October 21.

If you're serious about the industry, get your arse over there. If you're not, go write a poem, move in with your parents, and stop wasting our time.

We're wondering if part of the creative brief was left on a conference room table after they kicked this one off. The creatives on the Gushers campaign nail the target audience's sensibilities. They also make the target audience throw up in their collective, pre-pubescent mouths when they think of the product.

A quick sweep of tweets showed a mix of reactions - from disgust to grotesque fascination. Not surprisingly, no one proclaimed they were headed to the store now to buy a box.

To promote their latest album, Hurley, Weezer makes a cameo on a handful of YouTube staples. Like the content on most of the channels, it's hit and miss. Their Auto-Tune the News appearance is our favorite - by far.

And the ass-end on the quality scale: Their guest spot on Tay Zonday's channel. Painful as it is, you've got to give them credit - they keep it real:

Ray-Ray is officially 1-for-2 in the Old Spice advert stats. Pity. This one was mailed in from the start. Presort rate.

When you're basing the benefit of your product on something absurd, it better punch. The payoff on this one's about as sharp as a fart.

In fact, as one YouTube commenter also notes, its only redeeming feature may be Lewis stiff-arming a Patriot player halfway through.
