  • New Site Feature: Network-Wide Job Postings

    / Comments (0)

In finding ways to leverage our 23-site network for your benefit, we've recently implemented a great one: You can now recruit on a national level by posting your jobs to the entire Egotist Network.

We've been working on the system for the past few weeks to test out national job postings. All the kinks are worked out and now you too can look beyond the immediate area/region for your talent. We think this is a beautiful thing for multiple reasons:

    1. It gets your agency/studio/firm some national notice when 23 sites are dropping a new job posting for your company.

    2. It helps DC & Baltimore step up on a national level when local creatives know that local agencies are looking beyond their own backyard for talent.

    3. It's a pretty damn good deal for 23 job postings on very well-trafficked sites.

Trust us, we know there are multiple other more expensive & even free options (local & national) for job postings. We trust that when you post a job on the DC | Baltimore Egotist it's because you're trying to reach a certain type of professional; someone who understands performing at a higher ability and with better quality in everything they do.

We make sure your job is adequately seen and made aware to the entire community - not just shuffled off to a rarely checked job list on the site and announced with the perfunctory tweet. We want to grow talent, skill & quality of work city-wide and we believe we can help make this happen. And remember, the 'Jobs' page is the most clicked on of any page on any site in the network. Take advantage.

  • Check in at 7-Eleven, Win A Trip to Space

    / Comments (0)

Welp, looks like our childhood dreams of exploring space may finally come true. Foursquare, 7-Eleven, and the movie Super 8 want to send someone (one of us, hopefully) into the great, dark unknown.

All ya gotta do is check in to a 7-Eleven location anywhere in the US. Apparently you'll have to have some luck on your side, because only the 888,888th person to check in before the end of June will win a trip to space. Only one? Space would be way more enjoyable with a friend. Just sayin'.

Wonder if they'll make the winner sign a waiver? Hmmm. Chew on that while we go check in to every 7-Eleven in the DCB area.

Happy Hot Dog Man? Really? Maybe momma foresaw the horror of products like these when she told us not to play with our food. It's even worse than Pajama Jeans. Wrong. Just wrong.
