Piss poor creative briefs. Clients that just don't get how brilliant your work is. And the death of liquid lunches. This ain't a perfect business.

Let's do something about it. Tell us what's broken - and offer some solutions for how to fix it. Because, for all the bitching and moaning, advertising's still one hell of a way to make a living.

Send your rants to dcb@theegotist.com. Post under your name or anonymously. Either way, let it out.

Every agency says it's full of thought leaders. Time to prove it.

  • Bully! Entertainment augments Ford Escape's reality

Working with CINCO Interactive, Bully! designed and developed a kiosk experience - infused with Microsoft Kinect and Unity 3D-driven content - to promote the All-New 2013 Ford Escape. Our favorite clips - anything with old people. The looks of whipper-snappered agitation and confusion remind us of Grandma's house at Thanksgiving. At least there's an SUV to get us over the river and through the woods, now.

Next to cocaine, Old Bay's the most popular powder out there. So spread out the newspaper. Fire up a crab pot. And be on the lookout for new work from MGH for the seasoning staple in the coming months.

The agency also announced that it's won accounts for the National Consumers League and device accessory retailer M-Edge (previously with Planit).

Baltimore likes toilets. Baltimore likes art. To question why is to miss the point entirely.

As part of the National Museum of Women in the Arts 25th anniversary ad campaign, 25 Art Lovers, WiT Media featured popular ladies from around town - and the art pieces that inspire them.

The fact that anyone can still afford to buy art these days is pretty inspirational in itself.

Speaking of art: Clip Artistic reimagings of album covers; why you should buy art; sidewalk art that will cause awesome-strokes.

  • Million Mustache March

    / Comments (0)

They're here. They're unsheared. Get used to it.

While they may not be adept at things like math or dressing themselves, this group of millions hundreds from the American Mustache Institute marched on DC to have their voices heard. Included in their list of demands:

•Applaud any Mustached American as they walk past me on the street.
•Castigate clean shaven mortals and remind them that their bare-lipped appearance is a sign of weakness and communism.
•Distrust clean-shaven officers of the law, and if approached by a mustache-free constable, dial 911 and proceed to a nearby police station, where a squadron of heavily mustached officers will greet me with open arms.
•Never forget that every time a mustache is shaved an angel in heaven dies and falls to earth.
